Reprogramming @ Big Biology Day

Cambridge Big Biology Day is a one day science festival that celebrates the life sciences. We went along with some stem cell fun & games.

The event is growing year on year and it's a real pleasure to take part in a local festival that aims to inspire young people about all things biological. We went along to Hills Road Sixth Form College with several activities suited to different age-groups: ‘Reprogramming Your Cells’, ‘Race to Myelinate’ & ‘The Blood Station’. We were delighted to see so many young people and their families from Cambridge and beyond.

This year, lots our our research team were PhD students (including a Hills Road Alumna!). This was a nice opportunity to look back and see not only how far they have come since their school science days, but also how much they can now inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
