Wellcome-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute

Elections to the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Society

Three CSCI Affiliate Investigators have this week been elected to prestigious societies, the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Society.

Affiliates Richard Gilberston and Christine Watson have been elected Fellowship of the Academy of Medical Sciences, while Affiliate Anne Ferguson-Smith has been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society.

Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences are elected for their contribution to biomedical and health research, the generation of new knowledge in medical sciences and its translation into benefits to society. Fellows of the Royal Society are similarly elected for life through a peer review process on the basis of excellence in science.

Congratulations to all three Affiliates, who continue to contribute to Cambridge Stem Cell Institute work as well as the wider Cambridge research and stem cell communities.
