What do you know about stem cells? How do you feel about stem cell research? Are you optimistic that stem cell research will lead to significant medical and scientific advances?
At the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, we believe that it is important for everybody to have access to the latest, world-leading research about stem cells.
We aim to raise awareness about what we do and to help members of the public to make informed judgements and decisions about it.
It helps that we love talking about stem cell biology! Our Public Engagement Office organises lots of events throughout the year. This allows us to meet all sorts of curious non-scientists to share and discuss the mysteries and discoveries that motivate us every day.
- To see what events we have coming up, please click on the 'Upcoming Events' tab above.
- For useful links and resources, take a look under 'Links' and 'Resources'.
- If you would like to arrange a new event about stem cells with us, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Dr Rebecca Jones, our Public Engagement Manager.
The stem cell research field is extensive and rapidly evolving. For non-specialists, it can be tricky to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and to sort fact from fiction. Using the tabs, you can find links to our recommended and verified sources of information.
If you are interested in a specific area of our work, a good place to start is the information page for our research groups.
