Financial Support

 The MRC provides 4 years of funding including:

  • University Fees at the 'Home' rate*;
  • A stipend at the standard RCUK rate, which is then augmented from other sources to bring it in line with Wellcome stipend rates ;
  • Funding for research consumables;
  • Funding for skils training;
  • A contribution towards travel/conference attendance.

Students applying for the MRC 'Physical Biology' Programme must first check their eligibility to receive MRC-funding.

*Funding does not include 'Overseas fees' for International students. The Cambridge Trust can supplement funding for successful international candidates to cover the difference between 'Home' and international fees. To apply for this, tick the relevant funding box in your studentship application.
