Big Biology Day 2016

Robots out in force!

We took part in Big Biology Day again this year on Saturday 15 October, taking the opportunity to showcase our popular stem cell robots. How to make a human was developed by Dr Elisa Laurenti and teaches children how to program a pluripotent robot 'stem cell' to become different cell lineages (e.g Blood, Brain, Skin). The event at Hills Road Sixth Form College was well attended and our researchers has a fantastic time engaging children and their parents with Stem Cell Science.

The Cambridge Stem Cell Institute is a world-leading centre for stem cell research.

Our mission: to transform human health through a deep understanding of stem cell biology.
