More about the stem cell beer project

PhD students Tim Lohoff (Reik Lab) and Daniel Bode (Kent Lab) have partnered with Moonshine Brewery to create a new beer for Cambridge Beer Festival.

The Festival ran from the 22 - 27 May and featured their stem cell brew 'Regenerator'. The Institute also ran a lunchtime session at the festival to discuss with beer-lovers advances in stem cell research.

Regenerator on tour: Following our pilot at the Cambridge Beer Festival, we will be rolling out the beer across a number of pubs in the Cambridge area, hosting a series of accompanying stem cell-themed evenings such as pub quizzes and cafe scientifique events to engage new audiences with the research of the Institute. See our full upcoming programme here.
