CSCI at Postgraduate Open Day 2017

last modified Nov 06, 2017 12:12 PM

Last Friday, the University of Cambridge opened up its doors for the 2017 Postgraduate Open Day, for prospective students to visit Cambridge, the Colleges, and its university departments.

Jo Jack and some of our current 4-Year students, Fiona, Theresa, Anastasiya, Bao and Aracely, hosted a stand at the University Centre event, talking to students about the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute and our Four-Year PhD Programme.

We then opened up the Gleeson Building in the afternoon, for prospective students to come and hear Stem Cell introductory talks from Austin Smith and Maria Alcolea, and an introduction to the PhD Programme from Brian Hendrich. Thora Karadottir, David Kent and several of our current students were then on hand to take questions and give a tour of the labs and facilities.

We reached a wide audience throughout the day, and spoke to a lot of eager students all hoping to study at the CSCI!
