Cambridge Stem Cell Institute

A celebratory event organised for the official launch of "A Pattern for Progress", commissioned for the new Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre public space.

This collaborative arts project, led by artist Harold Offeh and his Cambridge Betterment Societyinvolved a two-way dialogue between people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), their carers, and scientists researching the neurological condition, with support from the Cambridge and District branch of the MS Society.

Offeh invited the group to work together to share their lived experiences and research in the process of creating a ceramic tile. Guided through a series of workshops by ceramicist, Kate Welton, participants produced individually designed and glazed tiles to create a background ‘wallpaper’ of experiences, with the accompanying film capturing their stories.
